 VEGETABLE PULAO


INGREDIENTS

basmatic rice:1 cup
onion chopped:1/4 cup

green chilly:3 nos
carrot chopped:1/4 cup
french bean chopped:1/4 cup
garlic chopped:1/2 tsp

ginger chopped:1/2 tsp
clove(carambu)2 nos
cinnamon(karuvapatta):1 stick of 1 inch
cardamom(elachi/elakkai):2 nos

coriander leaves:1/4 cup

hot water:21/2 cups
salt :as required
sunflower oil: 2 tbsp
fried onion,rasin,cashew nut  for garnish

METHOD
-Wash basmati rice and soak basmati rice in water for 15 min.after that drain water from rice,keep aside.

-Heat oil in a pan, put onion chopped ,garlic ,ginger,salt saute  for 1 min.
-then add carrot chopped,french bean chopped,green chilly slice, saute  for 2 min. add clove(carambu),cinnamon(
karuvapatta),cardamom(elachi/elakkai) saute  for 1 min.
-finally put  basmatic  rice saute  for 2 min. add water ,cook for 7 to10 min.cover it with a lid.stir occasionally .

-put coriander leaves mix well.off the flame.
-garnish with fried onion,cashew nut,raisins and coriander leaves .
- VEGETABLE PULAO is ready.
note;water ratio is 1:2,ie 1 cup rice:2 cup water,but here to cook vegetable half cup more.
